The VII Expanding Ocean Frontiers conference (EOF 2022) will be held in a hybrid format between 6th – 8th July 2022.
The event is organized by Facultad de Ciencias del Mar, Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (FCM-ULPGC) with the support of the EOF scientific committe.
EOF (Expanding Ocean Frontiers) 2022 is an evolution from the well-established Encuentro de Oceanografia Física, which started in 2010 in Barcelona, with the aim of becoming a meeting place for scientific and technical opportunities for Physical Oceanography in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and other neighbouring countries. There will result a wider set of connections for scientists and next generation researchers.
EOF 2022 will be a great opportunity to present the latest advances in physical oceanography, including remote and in-situ observations, modelling and interactions with other scientific and technological disciplines. There will be invited lectures by top-level researchers dealing with the following subjects: small-, meso- and large scale processes, coastal oceanography, new technologies, climate change, ocean climate, operational oceanography and sources of oceanic energy.
EOF 2022 meeting means, both at national and international levels, a unique event for the Spanish and Portuguese Physical Oceanography communities to enhance mutual links and establish new ones with other countries (Latin America, North Africa, China and USA). Senior scientists and young researchers will have the opportunity to present their studies, establishing synergies and creating a valuable net of collaborations for the efficient growth of this discipline.
We encourage researchers to submit as abstract their best studies to any of the thematic areas of the meeting.
